• Behaving The Barricade, Performance/Ritual, The New Beauty Council at Alt_Cph11
  • The Design Factory, Copenhagen 2011
  • The audience were getting participants by grabbing rocks and smashing mirrors on the street. The work Behaving the barricade could be seen as a choreographed dance, a political demonstration, manifestation or a ritual. It tries out moving physical borders through symbolic gestures and examines the possibility of changing structures. It highlights the possibility of new perspectives and the power of aesthetics. Behaving the barricade was presented as a ritual open for the audience to participate in.
  • After smashing mirrors the pieces got used to create a mosaic on the barrier fence. While working everyone helping out could see themselves and the surroundings in those mirrors while gluing them carefully together on the metal structure.
